Professional History

My career began as Research Manager and Editor for Cahner's Publishing Company, Boston. While there, I developed research studies targeting vertical markets within the semiconductor and electronics industry to understand the needs and motivations of purchasing agents.

At MSPCA/Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, I was the Director of Public Affairs. I relayed and shaped stories to bring visibility and funding to the veterinary and animal-protection divisions. Notable initiatives include the first annual Humane Awards Gala, The President's Circle, The Angell Memorial Alumni Association and the first-in-the-nation Blood Donor Drive for Pets. I was PR and media advisor to the President and Board of Directors.

My decision to spend time with my children enabled me to develop videography and photography skills, support the local schools and community - and create a freelance business. I became an ESL instructor at Rosie's Place and a Child Life Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator at Children's Hospital Boston before committing full-time to School on Wheels in 2016.

My portfolio illustrates samples of work that generated visibility, partnerships and funding.
