Dog-Friendly 5K

The annual 5K was poorly attended when I arrived at School on Wheels. I changed the name from "Outrunning Homelessness" to "Run, Walk & Wag for Kids" and made it dog-friendly.

We tripled the number of attendees, from 100 to 400, and doubled donations from less than $20,000 to $40,000+.

More than 100 dogs attend the event; sponsorships increased with pet-related companies wanting to be engaged.

We were rated "Best Dog-Friendly Event" in the US by RaceRepeat.
